My first impression: This iPad Air 10.9 sleeve looks very good for the money. As for the advertised features, yes the sleep and wake functions work, my Touch ID works, the standing angles work because the material inside is non-slip. All cutouts are there, but not quite perfect, but the buttons/charging jack work as they should. Except for the volume buttons; I found them difficult to press but they work. Anyway, I mostly use the Control Center for the volume. My second generation Apple Pencil.

This case was exactly what I was looking for - a strong, thick, slightly heavy folio case with a pen holder and a clasp to attach the case . HOWEVER, the case had a HORRIBLE smell. I sprayed it very well with Lysolspray and let it air out for a few days. I removed most of the smell but not all. When I sprayed it again a couple of weeks later, it stirred up what was causing the smell in the first place and actually intensified the smell. I was a little skeptical about the quality when I ordered it, but I love everything about this case. It is high quality and also very professional and stylish! My iPad sits very securely and has a lip to hold it in place so it can't fall out and break. Its magnetic closure and thick cover protect everything from scratches or damage, which is very important in a case considering how much we have to spend to buy the iPad itself. Highly recommended!

This case caused microcracks on two brand new iPad Air screens (2020 model) in one night. Little did I know that when my first iPad had a cracked screen, Apple replaced it with another brand new iPad under warranty. I put a new iPad in this screen and voila, a hairline crack the next morning! This case seems to create residual stresses on the iPad screen, causing a micro-crack.
