Works as advertised. Doesn't explode after 1 day!

I have a Mitsubishi WD 73640 73" DLP 3D TV. This lamp works perfectly. 10 hours a day, 7 days a week! The original new lamp lasted 2 years and 1 month! I have one Purchased 4 year replacement warranty from Square Deal. Just in case! You can't go wrong with Philips products. I have several small electronic devices and a 32" color TV that gets 103 channels via an outdoor antenna! By the way. The color TV is 12 years old and you should be able to see the picture. Almost 3D!

Super cheap $5 insurance

Switched from 8000+ OSRAM OEM hours to a PHILLIPS lamp in my 73840; Mitsubishi DLP and in general have not seen the HUGE difference in color rendering and brightness that others are talking about. In fact, even after a thorough cleaning of the electronics and the visible optical windows, the TV is much darker than with the old OSRAM lamp it came with. I know my circumstances are not unique and most using a dirty old lightbulb will have WOW moments here. I should get super cheap $5 insurance as…

fantastic - hands down the best $100 I've spent in years.

that was without a doubt the best €100 I've spent in recent years. I have a 92 inch Mitsubishi (a 92840). I live in fear that it will break because I can't replace it. After nine years (yes) of fairly heavy use, the picture started to darken. the movement of the clock hand of the clock, it was difficult to see the image, which gradually became darker and darker. Nevertheless, I did a little research and ordered this pear. FUCK THAT B*^T! the difference is striking. it is exactly what is shown…

So far so good - Replacement Rear Projection TV Lamps

Installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago with no problems. Packaging was secure as was like the product. There is almost no difference in build quality between this and the original OEM lamp it replaced. The instructions were minimal to say the least, but installing any of these things doesn't require much attention as long as it's the lamp body has who did it and was the reason I bought it.If you are trying to save some money by just buying a bare bulb I…

I think you get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for with this lamp. It works and the picture was fine, but the number of hours this lamp was on was a fraction of the hours the original lamp was on. Not sure if this is due to the lower quality of the lamp, but the color wheel freezes and the picture completely discolors after using the TV for a few minutes to an hour. However, as soon as I set the lightbulb to default brightness {instead of bright} in the settings, this stopped happening. When I tried setting it back to…

Pros
  • Aurabeam Economy lamps with housing have a 30-day money back guarantee and a 90-day replacement guarantee. These warranties come into effect upon delivery of the lamp.
Cons
  • I won't say anything

This is the best version of the original Phillips lamp. Third-party versions have only been running for a few months. The only downside is that the electrode connection on the bulb or lamp where the wire connects to the ceramic insulator sometimes becomes loose. The wire connection is very fragile and will break during transportation. I can usually fix this every time, but other customers unfamiliar with electronics repair send them back to Phillips. You just need to check the quality of this…

Pros
  • The Aurabeam Economy replacement lamp with housing installs easily in just minutes and gets your device up and running again.
Cons
  • Useless functions

So far so good for AV accessories

Installed this lamp in my Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV (WD-73C11) about a week ago with no problems. The instructions were minimal to say the least, but installing any of these things isn't that big of a deal until then it has the lamp body that did it and that was the main reason I bought it. I just bought a bare bulb and wouldn't recommend this. Really sucks if a bulb explodes on you or your case melts because it wasn't installed/cleaned properly. This isn't rocket science or anything, mind you…

Pros
