My 5 year old loves how soft they are. They are VERY thin (like underwear). They look great under a dress but only two colors really hide my daughter's patterned panties. Other colors are so subtle that you can see Elsa and Anna through them.

I may not know what "dance shorts" are, but they were as short as boyfriend panties and pantyhose material. I was expecting/looking for more spandex under the dress/skirt and shorts. Leggings material kind, but shorts. They look very small and very short!

Little 5 year old loves to wear dresses all the time (kindergarten and camp) so these very thin lightweight shorts are perfect under dresses especially in the summer and offer modest protection when Playing in their clothes with boys and girls on the playground and in the classroom.

Completely see through and when I ordered a size to fit my 10 year old daughter we laughed opening it. Maybe one doll is enough? So I told her to try on a pair and oh yes they stretch but I could really see the flowers on her panties. not worth the deal.

These shorts are completely see-through. I bought my daughter for training, but they are absolutely not suitable for that! It MAY be acceptable to wear under a dress to cover up a LITTLE undergarment, but is too thin and sheer to wear as shorts. I threw them straight in the trash instead of messing around with returns.

If you need tight shorts, then this is not for you. However, they are PERFECT for my 3 year old. She wears them under dresses and in her age without worrying too much about the fact that her underwear is a bit see through but so are the dress covers. It's easy for her to put the material on when she goes to the bathroom, unlike other shorts that are too stiff for her to maneuver on her own. Very soft, stretchy and relatively light. My daughter prefers these shorts over traditional lingerie/briefs because they don't ride up, bunch up or irritate her with bulky seams. But – if you're looking for underpants or mid-weight dance shorts with structure (ie thicker, tight-fitting leotards or cycling shorts) this may not be the best choice. This is a more breathable lightweight long underwear (IMO). Perfect for our needs.

These shorts fit well but the material is very thin and see through. I bought them for dresses and skirts so I don't care that they are so thin because you don't usually see them.
