Manual flight settings may disable obstacle avoidance. they can protect the propellers

Some manual flight settings disable Autel's excellent EVO II obstacle avoidance system. When flying with obstacle avoidance disabled or with significantly reduced power, they provide some protection in your EVO II airframe and help prevent in-flight damage to the propellers that could result in a disaster. I don't know how much force they can take, but they seem to be able to withstand minor impacts, which is all I'm worried about.

Essential for flying indoors or even outdoors in tight spaces or for beginners

Essential for flying indoors or even outdoors in tight spaces or for beginners. I would give them 5 stars but they can be a little tricky to install and then remove but will get better with practice. Tip: Take your time, make sure you have the right pair (e.g. FL/RL and FR/RR), do not force the propellers or motor/mounts, and make sure you that they are locked before starting and separated before removing. Also note that the guards aren't a cage like the DJI Mavic mini, but rather bumpers…

Very good product - very impressed

Very good product; I have two other drones from the #1 consumer drone manufacturer and in some ways they are just as good if not better. The Autel Evo II drone has a really great 8k camera and the menu system is quite simple making it easy to master on a flight controller. The flight performance of the Evo II is actually very good, but the flight controller is not as thin as the drone manufacturer's #1 smart controller. A big plus (and the reason I bought it) is that the Autel Evo II isn't…
