Easy and useful modeling tool: AutoCAST

I like that you can create multi-material models with many different types of material all in one model. It's also very easy to use, even for beginners which helps with training when compared to other software. Sometimes it can be hard to move or delete an element within the model after you've finished creating it. This tends to cause some frustration but not a deal breaker. I would say this is best for anyone who has experience working in CAD. You get more control over the model than most sim…

Pros
  • Easy way around complex modelling problems makes solving difficult 3D modeling issues simpler (no need go into depth), fast turnaround times between design & approval phases from engineering/architect
Cons
  • Some little things

Highly recommended software because its very helpful and saves tons

It has helped me solve my problem of finding out what will happen when I try to make something without knowing how it works, or even if there are any problems with the product that could be causing issues later down the line (like breaking). The interface can sometimes seem confusing at first but once you get used to using it everything becomes second nature for solving your own engineering designs in CAD programs like Solidworks. There really isn't anything bad about this program so far! What…

Pros
  • Ability To Modify/Design
  • Easy User Interface; Easy way through programming.
  • Extremely user friendly software
Cons
  • Empty

An amazing tool and worth trying out

I liked that it can give you some of your technical specifications as to what will be needed for manufacturing, but sometimes this info isn't enough! If there are any errors in dimensions or other details then they do not appear until after submitting an order which defeats part number accuracy (sometimes). We used Autocast when we were designing custom parts so our customers could see how their new products would look before committing too much money into them without knowing if people…

Pros
  • The software is easy to use; very intuitive.
  • It provides all necessary information about each product including price quotations within seconds,
  • Easy way out communication between employees at different departments
Cons
  • It is hard to say
