🌧️ Avoogue Women's Lightweight Waterproof Raincoat: Packable Outdoor Hooded Windbreaker for Rainy Days Review

I bought this jacket for my upcoming trip to Kauai because it claims to be waterproof and lightweight. I wore it to try it out on a walk in very light rain and was very disappointed that it's not waterproof at all. My shirt was definitely damp. I purposely made the jacket waterproof so I wouldn't get wet on day walks. This is the perfect lightweight windbreaker, but not for the rain.

This windbreaker was just what I was looking for. I wanted an unlined windbreaker with a waterproof hood. I used the size chart provided on the website and my jacket fits perfectly. I've worn it in the rain and it repels water very well. It's not warm, but it's not what I was looking for. It's great if it's just a touch of cool. I'm considering ordering another one in a different color.

Four stars because the zipper is cheap. I bought it to carry in my mini backpack that I use on a rainy day or during a wet ride at Disneyland. Like the material, it rolls up easily and stores in the included carrying case. The hood is nice and easy to adjust. I don't think this jacket would last long if worn a lot and wouldn't stand up to everyday use. The material and fit are great, but the zipper is a garment zipper, not an outerwear zipper.

Buying clothes online can be difficult. I am an athletic woman, 5ft 7in and 140lbs. Buying online leads to many returns due to arm lengths that are too short or upper bodies that are too wide. THE. Really good rain jacket! I ran in a long rain and here is the result. You can see that I pulled the hood tight over the hat so that only the visor was exposed to the rain and the closed back of the hat was completely dry! I'm really amazed, I didn't think I would get this kind of quality for the cheap price I paid! My t-shirt got wet, but that's because of my sweat and the tight zipper. This is a complete lie. The product name says "Waterproof" but this product is far from it. I can't even say it's waterproof because it's not. I bought this jacket for small hikes and only encountered drizzle/light rain. However, I could feel the water draining through the jacket onto my hands and the shirt underneath. Before my review, let me acknowledge that I live in Houston, Texas where the humidity is 150% on rainy days and 135% on normal weather.
