Doesn't let the pen charge

The case itself is fine. However, I received this case specifically because it advertises that it doesn't interfere with Apple Pencil charging. I just received a new iPad Pro and pencil the day before buying the case. This morning I noticed that the pencil does not charge through the case as advertised. I had to remove the case to charge. Will reconfigure the product.
