We bought for our granddaughter. It seems to hit or miss to get the tone when the strings are played when any of the music modes are on, and it plays more when the strings are pressed than when they are played. I counted a whopping 35 seconds of delay from plucking the string to hearing the note. Is this considered normal? The blue button music seems to work but has nothing to do with the strings. I was looking for something that would play the notes as she plucked the strings. May return.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Expensive

Did not live up to expectations

I'm writing this review so no one is as disappointed as I am. I bought this for my granddaughter's first birthday and I would be embarrassed to give it to her. I can't believe this product has such good reviews. I don't understand how he reacts to a child strumming the strings. It can have 30 different songs, but they just play randomly and the strings have little to no control over what you hear. It's basically the same as holding a ukulele while playing music and randomly plucking the strings

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some flaws

Fun, for toddlers and all ages love it.

Great toy. My son has a small Einstein piano that we love. Every time we went to Barnes and the Nobles he would find this ukulele and call it his (he thinks it's a guitar, that's why we call it that) and try to open the box. Found it cheaper on Amazon over Christmas and he plays with it literally every day. I thought this toy for over 12 months might be a bit small for him as he is 2 years old but he loves it. My friends kids even love it and their oldest is 8! We usually pull out Einstein's…

  • Everything is fine!

Nice combination of digital and haptic. Nice toy for one year old child.

We're keen to introduce the girl to the instruments, but we want them to be tactile rather than digital. This ukulele has a good mix. The strings are real strings that you can pluck or play. The strings are plastic cords and don't make a nice melodic sound, but there are different sound modes that come with it. One mode plays the song when you strum the strings, the other mode plays random notes when you strum it. The sounds are very melodic and not annoying. There is also a blue button that…
