Bought and opened when I received it no hair was shaved so it was brand new. It was still charged, plugged it in and started shaving. My hair isn't that thick and doesn't grow very fast. On Sundays I have my hairdresser trim/clean my beard. I use this razor between haircuts. I use with Remington shaving powder and it cleans me pretty well. When I first used this razor I got razor burn (because I was in a hurry and didn't know how to actually use it). My barber uses this same razor for me in his shop with no problems. This thing looks really premium. Good metal body, great looks, but compared to Andi's profile, it wasn't worth the extra $70 I paid. I cut my hair and did half with Andis and half with Babybliss and yes Babybliss has more power but they both cut the hair very well and look the same bald.
