I bought this skirt for my 10 year old daughter to wear to symphony concerts. It is comfortable and looks very nice. The elastic waistband allows her to fold it to the right length so you don't have to worry about it getting too long and growing with her.

I bought this for my 9 year old as a music costume. She is VERY sensitive to the texture and fit of clothing. She is also small for her age. The skirt's waist is forgiving - wide, soft and stretchy to fit well on a variety of body shapes and can be easily pleated to adjust the length - while looking professional. She liked the skirt and asked to wear it to school the next day.

My daughter needed a long black skirt for the fall play she is attending. She is 12 years old, just over 5 feet tall and very slim. I bought the large and it fits her perfectly. It looks very comfortable and the fabric is stretchy so I can see that it fits a variety of waist sizes well. It seems well done. It hits just above the ankles and looks very pretty. We would definitely buy again.
