This item needs painting #1. It's fascinating, true, BUT be careful. After you've burned a few buds, the resin builds up quickly and the stench is unreal. I seriously thought something was on fire, the smell was not pleasant.

Love love love! Looks the same as in the pictures. The waterfall or smoke effect really works. Only in the fall does frankincense leave a sticky, orange-brown residue. If you don't clean it, the smoke will turn that color and dirty your table.

I bought this for my fiancee who is a therapist I knew she would love her office. The fool that I am didn't notice the swastika on the characters' chests. Now I know this is a symbol in Buddhism, but that's not the first thing that comes to mind. Still used around the house, I'm more disappointed than her as the goal was to have it in her office. Doesn't break the deal and is still amazing. minus the fact that it was made by the SS.

I expected that. Small and cute. The dripping smoke works as it should and is really cool and meditative. Buds that have an unpleasant odor once burned to the end. Be prepared, after all is said and done, to smell like a very old dirty ashtray. Good for normal incense, but then you don't feel the effect. Some of the negative reviews mention a tar coating but this is standard for backflow incense as like all smoke it contains some tar. It's very easy to wash off with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol once a week. The incense burner itself is well made and works as advertised. The standard incense smells good, but it's not the best I've had. A small note to approach gifts with some trepidation - it has a traditional Buddhist swastika and some people may not understand the cultural differences.
