Strange stuff. It's smooth enough and feels pretty good. I don't think it breathes as well as cotton, but cotton doesn't protect you from sunburn. If desired, the zipper goes from the bottom to the top of the hoodie. Works well. The hood is roomy enough and has enough material to stand out from your face and also provide shade. I like it.

This is a really comfortable sweater for warm days. It offers good sun protection without overheating you. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the flash. Not sure if this is part of the design but the zipper closes fully. Not sure why. It's okay, but I'm wearing alligators and protective hats, and it's already caught and ruined a few parts. Otherwise I would recommend.

Surprisingly comfortable shirt. Designed for warm weather. It feels cool against the skin and seems to block the sun well. Recommended. Minor Complaints: 1. He is slightly larger than expected in the torso; long and hanging slightly in the front around the pockets which doesn't look very flattering. :-)2. In general, the fit is loose, but not around the cuffs, which sweat a bit during active movement in warm weather and are too tight on the arms.

My main concern was that the jacket would get too hot to wear in the sun. I just checked: I ran 8 miles in 90-100*F sun - obviously I felt the heat but the jacket let the wind through. I didn't feel overheated even though I was wearing a jacket. In fact, I didn't tan at all! There was no sunscreen but the jacket protected me perfectly. Two things bother me about this product: 1) It may be too light. I thought it might be the weight/thickness of the Henley thermal jacket (which is still pretty light). 2) lightning. It is not necessary to climb all the way to the top of the hood. Half a hood would be enough. However, it's stretchy but not tight (just make sure you get the right size).
