Description of Band Strap Vive Iliotibial Compression

TARGETED COMPRESSION FOR ITBS AND KNEE PAIN: Stabilizing the iliotibial band, the IT band strap reduces knee strain. The targeted compression wrap stabilizes the knee, reducing rubbing and friction on the outside of the knee. Made with a breathable neoprene, the strap also traps therapeutic heat to aid in the healing of sore and aching muscles by increasing circulation. Can be worn below the knee to relieve pain caused by patellar tendonitis, osgood schlatters and runners knee. GEL COMPRESSION PAD: Providing additional support for the IT band, an integrated gel compression pad dampens the vibrations created with every movement to stabilize and protect the knee. Great for tennis, basketball, running, hiking and other athletics. NONSLIP ADJUSTABLE FIT: A textured interior surface holds the IT band wrap securely in place throughout any activity. The ITB strap is easily adjustable with a strong fastener system. Worn two to three inches above the knee, the strap adjusts to fit leg circumferences ranging between 14 and 20 inches. The product broke after 3 months of use.

I originally gave this product a 5 star rating. However, after 3 months of occasional use, the backing of the neoprene strap came loose. I find this quality extremely poor and I am also disappointed that I did not receive a solution to this problem. I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

It arrived on time and was exactly as pictured. .

It arrived on time and was exactly as pictured. I used a strap and it helped hold the injured area. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it was wider. My IT is damaged from the hip to the knee, but most of the time the pain just comes from above. It worked very well when it was the only point of pain. I think if I stop hurting my hip, everything else will stop hurting too. So I think this is a worthwhile purchase. Maybe a little wider.

Pros
  • Sleek design

  • Some imperfections

It works out? Absolutely!

This strap works well for my IT strap issues. My knee gave me problems after I think I overextended during a leg exercise. I wear it in martial arts. I gave it one star because I get a rash when I apply it to my skin. And sitting on your knees is difficult because of the thickness of the strap. I still wear it over my pants. If I could put it against my skin and still sit on my knees I would give it a star. It works out? Absolutely! I've noticed an improvement in my IT group issues since I…

It's awesome

I had a pretty bad case of IT Band Syndrome and bought 2 of these hoping they would let me run a half marathon today. Not only was I finished, my knee pain was reduced by *at least* 80%. Maybe even 90%. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with this product. 3 tips when using them: 1) Even if the pain is felt in the ilio-iliac node below the knee, place it above the knee as shown in the picture (maybe 2-3 fingers above the top of the kneecap ). and not at the point of pain; 2) fasten them more

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Great price

I call it the 'miracle belt'

This product is very well made, doesn't slip and fits very well (and I can wear it very tight) and I cannot express how happy I am with this one band and what it has done for me. I've been battling IT Band Syndrome for a year and have tried everything, rehab, stretching, cross training, taking a break from running for over a year, nothing has helped. Something as simple as putting on a leg strap did the trick, I have no idea why I never thought of it as I always wear a patella strap to avoid…

  • Easy to use

  • Not trendy

Tighten it to make it work great!

Summary: It works wonders IF you tighten it enough! I had lower back pain (pain on the outside of my knee) that started about a month before the scheduled half marathon. I needed a quick fix so I bought a foam roller that I used several times a day and this strap. I didn't notice any difference initially and I really had the worst pain in the IT group when using it. But the next time I tried it, I pulled MUCH harder than the first time, almost to the point where I was uncomfortable, and I ran…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Well, first off, I only have one of these legs. The pads just slide off. It slips off when you run and sweats from moisture. It's not the product, it's the shape of my foot. What looks like a stick. Now to the heart of the problem. With ITBS, the problem is compression. You may experience knee pain, but the problems arise from jumping to the hip where this tape should be placed. When your muscles get tired and overworked, they block, swell, and cut off blood flow to your lower legs. After…

Bad fix for ITBS

Like many of the other reviewers here, I suffer from IT Band Syndrome and have been looking for relief. I was skeptical about this product from the start, but I was desperate and wanted to try everything. To be clear, I have no issues with this particular brand of IT strap. The concept of the strap makes me doubt. It's actually a compression strap. Easy and uncomplicated. If you have joint or muscle pain anywhere in your body, there's probably a compression sleeve or belt for that. In my…
