I have not used this product on a cupcake topper. This product worked well for what I bought it for. I used this product to cover a swirly tie on the outside of party bags. It gave the candy bags a special touch and look.

They were made for a quick cupcake topping that also served as a party for the basketball cake I made for my grandson's 2nd birthday last month. Simply stick on top of the cupcakes and you're done. I matched the frosting for the basketball on the cake to the color of the rings to match. Couldn't be easier. I usually have a lot more trouble making birthday cakes but I didn't have much time for this one and this one didn't disappoint. Thanks very much!

Ideal for cake decorating. However, I bought them to give away to little kids at the basketball clinic along with a basketball bracelet as a small prize. The ring part is really big, so big that even my adult sized fingers are too small. Crashes immediately. That doesn't mean they aren't great for decorating cupcakes. None were broken; none had sharp edges. They don't smell funny. The lines are perfectly centered. They're great, but don't buy them to actually wear them.
