These headpins are the perfect addition to any jewelry making kit! As my tests showed, they are sturdy and strong enough to hold even heavier beads in place. The length is also great for longer earrings or dangle necklaces. The only con is that they may be too thick for some smaller beads, but overall, they are an excellent choice for any beading project.

They are copper plated which is not explicitly stated but for the price I assumed. I removed the cover and saw the silver base metal. The base metal is hard, as noted by another reviewer. Can be used for pins but not for winding wire.

These studs are harder than I expected. They didn't have a hardness rating, but I'd say they're somewhere between semi-hard and full-hard wire. I had a hard time wrapping them around the wire but with some perseverance I managed to wrap them for the earrings I designed. Overall they were very valuable and I will definitely use them. With just one bow they are perfect. I don't recommend them if you like making twisted loops.
