Sturdy enough

This is the first bead loom I've bought and so far I'm very impressed with it. The screws that allow you to turn the dowels often pop out, which of course is inconvenient and often makes tensioning the strings difficult, but in most cases it's pretty strong and reliable. The plastic rings give a little, making it difficult to tug on tight objects, but it can be dealt with. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking to get started with beads.

Capital F Disappointment F

This loom really is what it is, a loom. Once assembled it is well designed, solid and works as promised. I cannot fault the product because I found missing threads in the finished work. Whatever the case, this product taught me to be neat and tidy with every bead and row of beads. It taught me to plan every detail and think about how I would handle the warp threads before cutting the thread too short. Most of all, it motivated me to learn peyote, brick, box and daisy, which I can do without.

This loom is cheaply made and a waste of money

This loom is cheaply made and a waste of money. Compression springs are used to separate the warp threads. The gaps between the warp threads are too large for threading beads no. 13/0. The warp threads are pulled together as each row of beads is added. This causes the warp yarns to start collapsing near the roller, but the warp yarns running through the compression springs stay the same size, which, as I said, is too big. It is impossible to keep the outer edges of the beads straight. This…

  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
