Good protection, poor workmanship.

Good glove protection, however the leather stitching holding the velcro strap came out and had to be resealed. Also, one of the fingers had to be turned inside out and the seam cut where it was rubbing against the finger. That shouldn't be the case with Bear, but times are different now. Generally good gloves, they are only a month old. We'll see in a year.

Dirty on arrival but overall good glove

In terms of quality it's great. Works surprisingly well. The reason I'm giving 3 instead of 5 is because I ordered a medium size which smelled used, was dirty as hell, then I ordered an extra large as the medium size didn't match the new size and white sawdust wore. The leather was worn so I just repaired it with a leather cleaner and the glove works fine with my compound bow.

Good glove at a great price

Shot a good, thick (expensive) glove, but eventually gave it away. Switched to the 3 finger tab which seems to work really well for me. However, we missed the glove's "nostalgia" so we bought the bear's glove. Love it! Now this is my choice for archery. It's not very thick but protects the fingertips well when using 62-66" longbows and recurves at a 45#+ draw. Also, this is a Fred Bear product, can't fault that. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No instructions

Very well done! Leg & Foot Rest

I ordered XL because that was all I had at the time. I was willing to try and scale it down if necessary. In truth I would say that this is a large size that fits me perfectly. The quality is amazing! As good as any of my Harley-Davidson gloves, which I spend a lot of money on. The finger tabs are a bit thick at first, but break very quickly due to the quality of the leather. This is how traditional archery becomes fun. It's weird when you draw, the smell of leather of this quality only…

Pros
  • Health & Household
Cons
  • Small Parts

Full grain leather means this is a real bargain. The terminology of leather gets so confusing that they call it "real leather" and it's not real leather. This is premium full grain genuine leather. This glove is actually less expensive than many synthetic gloves. It's soft, flexible, smells nice and has enough padding for your fingertips when shooting a 50 recurve bow. I will buy a second one when they stop making them, they are a gem.

Pros
  • Leg & Foot Rests
Cons
  • High Price

GREAT FINGER PROTECTION FOR ANY BOW

Excellent finger protection for archers. It's easy to forget that archery is a lot more fun and less painful when you have the right finger guard. 3 fingers are involved in pulling the cord back. important. I've often tried using a training glove instead; it's not the same. You need minimal but strong help to get a good shot with a powerful bow. I have a 100 pound compound bow that Browning is complaining about. This is a fine thing, capable of sending an arrow hundreds of yards with great…
