Works perfectly. A brand you can trust

I had to replace the first one that broke when my laptop fell off the couch. There were other brands that were cheaper but I knew this one worked

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Crumpled

Works as advertised

Great little device. Works as advertised. Bright colors but it just seems to me that it doesn't affect its function. The device does not heat up even after several hours of use with my devices.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Works as advertised

Paired with Microsoft Surface Book without problems. The DisplayPort connection is a bit thicker than the base of the Surface Book, which means it rests a bit on the plastic part, but I'm not concerned that this will be an issue. In general it works as expected.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • For a long time

Item too fragile for cables and connections

Arrived on time. It worked great in the beginning. But the connector is very fragile. After about a month of use with a Microsoft Surface Pro, the connector became unstable. The PC thought it was connected to the TV, but the TV didn't detect a signal. I threw the adapter away and ordered another adapter.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Weight

Not even close to 4k

Purchased to connect my 2013 iMac to an external monitor. The maximum resolution I was able to get was 1080p, which was not the monitor's 2560 x 1440 resolution and not the advertised 4k. Sent back for a refund. I ended up buying a Siig Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, which worked great.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Offers 2K resolution via Display Port on MBP Mid 2014

Was looking for a solution after HDMI stopped working on my MBP. The existing miniDP-DVI cable can only deliver 1080p. Bought for $20.07. It also has a fairly comfortable grip considering the number of times it's pulled out. Tip: Go to System Preferences - Display - Resolution, switch to Scaling and manually select the resolution if the default is 1080p.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Concerns me

Does not run above 1080p at 60Hz

Declared 4K compatible but does not support 2560x1440 at 60Hz. The maximum resolution available is 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz on the Mac Mini (Late 2012). It took a bit of poking around on Belkin's website to find out that this is a passive adapter, in other words it only lets signals through. Another manufacturer's adapter, almost the same price, works fine at 2560x1440 at 60Hz. Sent back for a refund.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Shorter cable than other models
