We purchased this item and it matches the projector perfectly; However, the lamp stopped working after about 10 days. We have contacted the seller to inquire about options and will update this review as soon as we hear from them.

Bought a few months ago and after removing the projector from the ceiling, opening it up and preparing to change the lightbulb, this thing didn't fit. At least the 2-pin connector on the lamp doesn't fit the 3-pin adapter on the projector. I had to loosen a few screws just to get everything lined up before realizing the connectors weren't compatible. Since the part was ordered some time ago, Revain's return period has already expired. The cable and connector plug shown in the product photo above does not match the product we received as a replacement. This was a repeat order of a previous order we placed a year earlier where the product actually fitted and was a genuine replacement. No warranty information was provided nor a part number for double checking. I ended up having to reassemble it myself so we could use the projector without delay. Pretty terrible for the price of this product.

came with a spare Benq lamp as the original lamp lasted over 4500 hours/3 years in the projector. This failed for just over a year and just over 1500 hours. very disappointing considering the low range of advertised hours is 3500. Not worth $250 if you're still toying with how long it's going to last. also found that the warranty against bending when replacing the lamp is only 90 days or 500 hours, which is not a good warranty (you will get a better warranty from a fake lamp).

Do not buy! I bought and installed it. The lamp worked and turned on, but after a minute the projector turned off. The indicators said the problem is in the fan. I had to send it to BenQ for service and found out it was the lamp. These fake lightbulbs mostly don't work. You have this problem all the time. Buy a real lightbulb. They should cost around $210, not $100. Now if I try to save $100 I have to pay $350 after shipping, labor and the cost of the lamp. ridiculous!
