Betadine had a great reputation as a surgical skin cleanser until there were cases of iodine allergy. The manufacturer's representative assured me over the phone that the ingredients are identical in both the veterinary medicinal product and the human product. Because it was an effective antibacterial scrub, I felt comfortable using it as a preoperative skin cleanser prior to surgery. The smell of iodine and the price were good.

Bought this for me and my daughters to use at school and at home due to concerns about Covid and their return to full time school. It lasts and I love it, not only because it's very effective, but also because the color lets you see where you still need to rinse/scrub, so manual cleaning is thorough.
