This is a very cute skirt and would look great in a Tinkerbell costume. My child is not overweight but was a bit small for her even at her correct size. I've washed it 3 times in a linen bag and it has held up, although the edges of the satin were just frayed and started to fray a little on the last wash. I've never dried it in the dryer. I think he'll hold out until he outgrows it.
