I ordered this specifically as the width was advertised as 3.5 inches - wider than others that were cheaper and more like what I was looking to replace. That's less than 3 inches of interior space and only 3.25 inches including the zipper. The side pocket has a usable depth of approximately 2.25 inches. I went for minimalism and used a small handbag, but a normal women's wallet hardly fits in it. I bought this item in purple and black (as a gift) and silver/grey (for myself). I love this wallet style as I can put it in my pocket with my most used card on top. If I need to pay something, I just pull out the card without having to take my wallet out of my pocket. I do this by removing the latch which works for me.
