These pants are just gorgeous! My daughter is tall and skinny and wears 7 slim jeans. Often for them, this is a compromise between length and fit at the waist. I ordered medium expecting (due to limited experience with the brand) they would be small. The belt on her is a little loose, but it works. However, the length is about 3-4 inches longer.
