Not amused. for portable audio and video devices

The magnet is small and weak. Don't believe it. Find another way to attach it to your car. What can you expect for 10€? It might be a good antenna but I didn't even try it after seeing how cheap the little magnet was. I didn't even return it. Just one more lesson. Do more research on products and don't expect much if the price is low.

    It does its job

Great little antenna. I definitely noticed an increase in range and was able to receive transmissions for about 11 miles (mostly line of sight with some terrain in between). The magnet isn't very strong but so far has held up well on the roof of my car when driving on the freeway (75+ mph). I use it with my Uniden BC75XLT and it does the job. I am satisfied and will buy more.

    Pros
    • Nice to use
    Cons
    • No insurance

    Good value for my purposes

Decent solution for occasional use with a handheld scanner in a car to improve the signal instead of an auxiliary 17" antenna or a standard short antenna. I simply placed the magnet base on the roof, then fed the wire through the door opening and closed the door. Plug the BNC connector into the front seat and connect it to the scanner. Yes, it's a thin wire compared to shielded cables, but that makes it withstand a closed door. Haven't deployed the antenna at freeway speeds so can't comment on…

    Pros
    • Great solution for me
    Cons
    • No instructions
