Hardly good for reception. Useless in transmission.

Works like a paper clip at the reception. When sending, it behaves like a dummy load. This only works if you are very close.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Don't waste your time.

So not as accurate as they claim as you can see in the photos I've attached. I know the analyzer is correct because it is calibrated and I have used it many times. None of what was advertised. Buyer Warning.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Repair

Wasn't expecting much but was surprised.

With all their options, I always check them on the meter first. Both were terrible on every frequency except the amateur UHF/VHF bands. On mine I have an SWR of around 1.5-2, where that counts, the SWR is off the charts all over the place.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • All right

useless dual band antennas

Best antenna I have ever bought destroying my radios. I checked it on an antenna analyzer and on UHF 440 t0 460MHz the SWR goes off scale and on YHF at 147.MHz the SWR drops to 3.0 and that is the maximum.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Do not buy for MURS from Antennas

I bought these for church security with the idea of reducing the obvious nature of the antenna, thinking that even a small antenna would be consistent for our purposes of transmission a (single) building should work. That does not work. The transmissions had a lot of static and intermittent reception. I wanted to buy more after proof of concept, but no more. I definitely do not recommend them if you are using a MURS radio or attempting to use VHF. Can't talk to UHF as it's out of my scope.

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
