Not a bad thing for a 4 year old. She found it difficult to leaf through it. I tried and it was definitely difficult. But for the price it's ok

I bought these for my little ones to do bird watching. They were fascinated by binoculars so I figured these might be a good pair to start with. Kids love exploring toys, twisting handles to see if they grow or not. They found that it isn't, and if you tug lightly on almost any part, it will come loose. But I wouldn't give this to an older kid either as it would probably need some real scaling ability.

Pros: Very simple and easy to use. The low magnification is great for my 4 year old niece to learn how to use binoculars. Very visible. The small size is ideal for small hands. Bright, happy colors. Rubber and plastic make it very durable when dropped. Cons: Lenses have a slight bluish tint when looking through them, but this doesn't affect clarity. All in all a great pair of binoculars for small children. When my niece grows up I will buy high magnification lenses.
