Very nice lighting. I installed them on our porch to replace the original recessed lighting. They were very easy to install. My original lights were 7.5 inches wide as were these LEDs. At first I tried to buy different mounts but the rim wasn't wide enough to close the hole in the ceiling. These lights are perfect! I hope that these lamps will save us electricity. These replacement LED lights are great. I recently replaced 8 old (deep recessed) ones in our kitchen. The hardware is solid and well made. The lighting is much better (3000K) than the older models. Despite what I've read in some Revain reviews, there is absolutely NO rumble when dimming. All 8 lamps are controlled by a single dimmer, in which case they will certainly buzz in this configuration. I love the quality of the light, it seems to show 'real' colours. The 12W LED is brighter than the old 65W incandescent bulbs, but not overwhelming. The old, hot lightbulb has welded its wires together (brown, brittle, peeling insulation) and I feel a lot safer running at 12 watts, less than 20% of the old heat. (Yes, I cut them to undamaged length). The new finish is glossy, but the difference with the old matte finish is barely noticeable unless you look closely. Easy to install but had to do
