Good welding jacket

I needed a jacket to protect myself when welding. I wanted a jacket because it offered more protection (arms, torso, waist, etc.) than just sleeves or a bib. The jacket is well made, durable and appears to be made from quality materials. The only downside is that it's a bit heavy when you first put it on, but after a while I didn't notice the weight anymore. And it can be warm when used in warm climates (but it can be ok in colder climates). Overall I am very happy with the jacket.

Pros
  • Overlength
Cons
  • I'll write later

They wear out faster than you'd like, but better than a shirt that lasts almost as long and burns out quickly. will probably last forever if you just tig weld. I welded them and they work fine until they fall apart in the wash like every other Chinese junk we buy. In the shop I work in, leather is too hot, I mainly use it to protect my hands from UV rays. Sleeves are hot and fall off. it works well with a t-shirt underneath. largely eliminates the smell of smoke from the aluminum weld.

Pros
  • Adjustable cuffs and waist straps
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

Good price BUT.

Good: Good price, construction, comfortable, good collar closure design, and despite all the negative reviews about the size, I wear XL, I ordered XL and it fits XL. Cons: If you use TIG welding or most MIG welding (solid instead of flux cored wire) or oxyfuel, this jacket will do. If you are using stick welding (SMAW), this sheathing is marginal. I've been using mine for about 3 months and it works great on both flat and horizontal surfaces. But vertical and overhead brutal. Any arcing strike…

Pros
  • Dual inner pockets and writing pockets
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
