This worked great until after 5 months it stopped working. I would not recommend buying if you want something that will last longer.

5 stars for themselves. However, the cable slows down the speed. With Raid0 I get about 500 Mbit/s if I change the cable, more than 1 Gbit/s. Order the Anker Thunderbolt 3.0 Cable (USB-C to USB-C) and get ultra-fast speeds.

So far so good on my 2017 iMac with macOS 10.13. Speeds seem pretty darn fast, I've switched from G-Dock ev Thunderbolt 2 which might actually be a bit faster - I'm only using JBOD so can't comment on RAID. One note: at the moment it seems that when you remove a drive in JBOD, both drives are removed and reinitialized (not reformatted), they just need to be remounted. A little annoying.

As a professional video editor, this is perfect for my Mac workflow. SSDs can be swapped out project after project without fear of losing anything. TBH is even better than I thought it would be and will be reflected in the savings you get by buying internal SSDs instead of mobile SSDs. It has a high data transfer rate (I have almost 500 Mbps, quiet and very nice).

I was satisfied with the buyer for about a month of occasional use. Today I noticed that my external SSD is no longer mounted. Spent half an hour troubleshooting, the end result of which was that the Blackjet VX-2SSD showed no signs of life when plugged into several different computers and power strips. Preliminary conclusion (hopefully) is that the included power supply has failed. I'll try replacing it with another wall mounted unit with the appropriate specs (5V, 4A, 20W max).

The enclosure is quite heavy for its small size. If you put it on the table, it will not fall. RAID 0 performance and transfer speed actually take full advantage of USB C Gen 2. However, I'm only giving it 4 stars because the included USB C cable only supports a 480Mbps connection. Dropped only 48MB/s. I had to use a separate Belkin USB-C cable to connect the part to the host computer over a 10Gbps connection. After the communication issue was resolved, transfer speeds actually exceeded 560MB/s

I recently bought a 2018 macbook pro where you only provide 4 thunderbolt 3 ports. I'm not a big fan of having to plug in a bunch of adapters, but hey. What can you do?
