Description of Blacklight Flicker Lighting Scenery Fluorescent

Designed for use in darker settings. Not to illumine with purple glow but intended to make fluorescent objects themselves light up while keeping everything else dark. Makes fluorescent materials eye-catching and brighter than itself. Optimized to reduce its own visible light and make fluorescent materials glow, such as paints, plastics or pigments, in low-light level settings and darker ambience. Controller provides wave ripple and flicker effects with 6 different dynamic modes with 20 speed steps each. Can imitate water and flame effects. Remembers last setting used when turned on again. Easy to operate, runs on 8 AA batteries (batteries not included, use AA alkaline batteries). May also be operated from 12-volt DC power supply. Includes blacklight bulb, cable socket, control, and battery holder assembly. Removable Bi-Pin bulb houses 24 mini UV LEDs in clear silicone rubber molded bulb, with bulb height of 1-1/8” and diameter of 1⁄2”, emitting UV light, 390-395nm wavelength. Cable socket assembly with bulb has overall length of 11-1/2” and can be made to fit into various prop, craft, or scenery materials.

Super cool lighting

Super cool adjustable black light. This small setup with a lively face and flexibility is great for jars and souvenir cabinets to display your special items like petroleum jelly or uranium jar, or even light lemonades. Easy to set up and customize how you want to present your items.

Not very bright, difficult adjustments to make.

The product appears to be well made but even with 8 new AA batteries it is only good for low light shooting. In addition, the modes, especially the flashing speed, are difficult to switch. If you have a pulsing setting that you need to SEE the speed of the flash, you will need to wait 3 seconds between speed changes. It's just a lengthy setup process. BUT once you get your settings right and use it in low light it will be a good product.

Works on 12v only, not the declared 9-12v.

This lamp is NOT rated for 9-12v. As anyone who knows batteries knows, is a 12 volt battery is actually closer to a 13 volt battery. Well it works great with them (or with an 8x1.5 AA setup for the same crowd). But he generally refuses to work at a voltage lower than 11V. If the room is BLACK BLACK you might see the faintest flickering of the LEDs, but that's about it. I have a version of the same product with an amber bulb and it works great at only 8.5V, so unless you plan on using a 12V ONLY
