I think blankets are always a good gift. But many of them are not very good quality. after being used and washed for a while. They roll and disappear. This cast is of high quality. It is rich in color and very soft. And it comes in a mesh bag. (no ugly plastic bag). This completes it as a very cool gift. Just ready to put in a gift bag. I just received the comforter and I love it. It's very soft, I like its color (blue) and I like the writing on it. Maybe all I can say is that it could be a bit thicker, but that's a subjective thing, some people don't like it when it's thicker. I am giving this as a gift and line the basket with a blanket and then put other little goodies in it and I think it will be just perfect! I would be happy if the hug blanket came in more colors :)
