100% Canvas. Leather sole. Made using traditional construction technique used by cobblers and still used in the manufacture of pointe shoes. Pump construction encourages the canvas to hug the arch and reduces material bunching underfoot when pointing. Soft, durable square canvas molds to the foot. Heel seam cushion for smooth and aesthetically pleasing line of the foot. Tear drop shaped pads at the toe and heel promote extra flexibility for the foot to arch. Sizing: Start with 2-2 1/2 sizes down from street shoe.

A good product. Even better price!

I wore them to my first adult ballet class. They are a bit big but I hope they shrink a little after washing. They are very "cute" and make me feel like a ballerina. I was expecting the elastic to attach, but it was only attached to the back of the shoe. You will need to sew it to the front or bottom of the boot yourself (not sure if it needs to be sewn on, I did it on the front). All in all I would buy them again.

BEST BINDING DANCE SHOES

I had these when I was a young modern dance student and couldn't find them for years. Sizing can be tricky so be prepared to swap if necessary. If you use them for tango or hoop dancing, the fit will be different than ballet or jazz. But they feel great and make your legs so beautiful! I like that the elastic is only sewn on at the heel as I like to sew on the elastic myself. Hide them from your dancer friends if you don't want them stolen. :)

The color and shape of these canvas slippers are great. However, I can feel the front pad under the .

I have this as well as the Prolite leather version. Thought I would use them for training and leather for performances. The color and shape of these canvas slippers are great. However, I can feel the front pad under my foot and it is very uncomfortable in Eleve. I don't know if it has to do with the ruffles/gathers under the toe pad, but it's not perfect. I didn't have this problem with leather trousers. I wouldn't buy them again.
