Good quality dress! We took the size 5/6 so it wouldn't be crowded. You could buy a size smaller, but not too big. Although the arms are quite long. I didn't see any protruding threads, holes or stains. It's not too thick, but not thin enough to show through. Daughter says it's very convenient. The tip is soft, not spiky at all. Haven't washed it yet so can't comment on how well it holds up to washing.
