I ordered a size 7/8 for my tall skinny 5 year old. It's about 2 inches longer (slips across the floor) and slightly low on the chest when the straps are adjusted to the tightest possible position. However, it goes well with her mid-zone. I ordered this size extra because my little one doesn't like tight clothes so I wanted the mid stretch area to be looser. Oh my God, how beautiful! My little girl is 7 years old but she is tall for her age. I bought 8-9 and it's perfect. She's slim, only 50 pounds or so, but she's about 50 inches tall. Lovely dress! I tightened the straps but I'm afraid they might end up loosening of my dress daughter dances so I may have to pin them down to be sure or they run too big in the front but overall I'm happy to have an extra layer underneath and I think it's good value for money -relationship! janet jackson moment. the class would have no reason to interrupt it as she just got off :-(
