This great value salad bowl does the job really well. It's neither too formal nor too casual; It's not heavy so it's easy to move around the table, but not so light that it breaks easily. It is designed to hold a lot of salad without taking up too much space on the dining table. Finally, I don't know if maybe it can be washed in the dishwasher, but it washes well by hand.
