I use it as a hobby lamp (painting) and it works fine. I really, really wish it had a longer cord and an adapter that plugs straight into an outlet. The battery capacity/life isn't the best, leaving you with only an hour or two of working time if you don't plug it into an outlet. But . It gives off a nice bright light (three settings), is easy to use and despite its light weight remains strong and stable.

Batteries are old or just crappy, I ran out of two of them (5-23-20) and sent back the 1st and replacement. Got 30 minutes from 1st on the lowest settings which should run 3 hours. The 2nd lasted an hour, tried 2-3 charges at a time?! The design is good but battery/wireless is what I wanted, but if you want a USB powered light with a cord that sticks out the left side then this might be for you. Liked the design and portability but returned it because of the light. lamps over light. No matter how well designed, if the light is wrong, the lamp is wrong. The first setting (warm yellow light) is too dim, the second (cool white light) is too bright, and the third (mixed yellow and white) is just weird.
