I followed the instructions to order a belt that is 1 inch larger than the waistband of my pants. I wear 35" jeans so I ordered a 36" belt. I could barely close it with the hole closest to the end of the belt. However, the quality of the leather appeared to be quite good. But I wasn't thrilled with the plastic rivets.

In terms of size, my pants waist is 33 inches. I ordered a 36" wide belt and it fits perfectly. A very nice dark brown belt with a silver buckle. The width is perfect for denim belt loops.
