These are excellent split rings and perfect for the project I need them for. I love how secure they are compared to jump rings. However, it depends on what project or materials you are working with to determine whether you should use split rings or adapter rings. I also bought split ring pliers to work with this item. I don't think I can use this item without pliers.

I was going to use these for shrink wrap keychains but they won't spring back into shape after I have to open them up (pretty much with split ring pliers) to put them in the hole on the crumpled shrink wraps . They stay open between the rings and it doesn't look good enough to be usable. I don't care if the color isn't black, at least that color stays on the ring and doesn't peel off when you use it. , it looks like a natural dark vintage silver ring.

They fit me perfectly! However, as I have read in other comments, once bent they cannot be closed again. I can imagine things could fall over as a result, but my clothes are too thick for that, so it doesn't bother me. They can be difficult to open and reach, so I recommend having pliers with you. (I used round nose pliers) which I saw in the tutorial video (yes I had enough trouble finding the tutorial)! All in all, these split rings are perfect for my projects.
