This belt is too long to be considered average. A 38 would fit at the waist, at least I ordered a small one. My waist is 32-34 and fits small very well. The problem with a belt that is too long is that the belt loop of the pants has to be used for access and the belt is too thick to have to cut the belt loop in half for this purpose.

This brown braided belt complements the black braided belt, allowing me to use brown with certain color schemes. The belt works great and tightens great. I'm happy to have both. It seems that all leather belt manufacturers believe that the more iron on the buckle, the better. I hate them but this belt has a regular sized buckle.

The quality of this belt is OK but it stretches and stretches to the point where it's useless and won't hold my pants. I cut off about 5 inches from the belt and repositioned the end but to no avail. The stretch is very weak. It's a shame because otherwise I would have used it a lot.

my 2nd belt of this kind. I wear pant size 38, medium at most, but I feel comfortable. Much more stretch but can be uncomfortable. Just help you decide which size to order. Really good belt.

Compared to all other similar items before purchasing based on the photos provided and thought it was the best available well it looks pretty good quality. There are no smudges on the buckle, the stitching is not Ralph Laurent quality and the price is only 1/4, the material of the braided belt itself is also good with good coloring. I wanted a slimmer, nicer belt that I thought would match my khaki shorts. I don't normally wear a belt with khaki shorts but I've lost some weight and now they are too loose so I needed support and didn't want to buy new ones. I also wanted something more adjustable than the standard strap and I don't like those ratchet straps. This belt fit me in every way, and then some! Like it a lot. I even wear it with jeans sometimes, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with all types of pants.

Just bought (12/2020) a new one to replace the one I bought in May 2017. After 3 years of daily use, the belt lost some of its elasticity and I had to pull hard on the belt to keep it taut. 3 years for a $6.50 belt works for me. It's comfortable and stretches well, but pulls tight and neat. I went down a size so I didn't have to put too much more into the loop. The belt looks and feels high quality. I recommend this belt.

Looks good, fits well and I like that no animal products are used. Unfortunately the materials used at the end of the belt (excluding the buckle) are very cheap and the end is a bit wider than some of my dress pants which means it goes very tight through the belt loops and after a few months the paint is peeling off parts of the strap end that don't look good.
