I really liked the frills on this crib pad so I paid more for it. Unfortunately, the ruffles are small and look lousy. They also don't go over the length of the lining, leaving about ten inches on each side of the crib where there are just ruffles. Break. I can see it's the velcro but the ruffles could have stayed under the velcro. The design looks strange and unfinished. I wanted them to work so badly, my 13 month old stays with his foot wedged in the crib almost once a night. They are secured with Velcro so any child who can hold on to them can do it. Since my son can stand, he also tries to stand on the net which makes it slide down and dangerous. I would not recommend it, velcro is not an ideal or safe method of attaching something to a crib. I was looking for this product while transferring my son from cradle to cradle. The cradle had a lattice wall on which he was used to wiping his fingers. I also think that he felt comfortable in the cozy environment. He slept through the night. When we put him in the cradle, he often woke up.
