This is not a solid stainless steel mug. I bought it 2 years ago and have been using it almost every day since. The stainless handle has worn down to copper and to my surprise the copper is also just plated, underneath the copper is another metal that appears to be cheap zinc.

It was a little lighter than I expected but still a good cup without spending a fortune. The lip has a narrower edge than most, but I wouldn't call it "sharp" like some other reviewers. The grip is solid, and while it might be a bit small for a large man's hand, I find it perfect.

This makes a very good gift and looks and feels like it will last a lifetime. It is durable, shiny, stain-free, convenient to use and easy to clean. We've washed it in the dishwasher several times with no problems. The self-proclaimed "supermaster" in our house says that the taste of beverages is not affected. This quickly became his trump card in everything.

These mugs will outlive us all. I had the exact same one that I've been using daily since the early 90's. It keeps hot drinks hot, cold, and cold while protecting your hand and the surfaces you place it on. I was so happy to see that I was able to purchase another one that I will continue to buy and gift. The problem is that there are many different examples, but fortunately it was the exact same model that I had for many years.

Very happy with this mug. I've used it for various liquids, only a few of which have been adult beverages, and it seems to work well for everything. It keeps my drinks at a pretty good constant temperature, better than a single wall bottle for example. And it has nice clean lines and is very well balanced in the hand. And best of all: it tastes good. More specifically, it's stainless steel and doesn't seem to add any flavor to the drink, which I really appreciate.

Very nice mug made of stainless steel. It holds 1 beer + froth and hits the top rim of the mug with just the right amount of room. Water stains show up on it very easily. So if you have OCD because of the way things look, you need to spend a little more time drying your hands to avoid water stains. Personally, I don't care about water stains.
