I was worried because when I first connected the new screen it was black. But I forgot to turn off the computer, remove the battery, and then plug it in. Made my Dell 1545 Inspiron brand new! I highly recommend buying this LCD screen if you need a replacement. Mine just failed. First, make sure it's not a cable.

Excellent display; I replaced my broken DELL 1545 screen with it. It took no more than 15 minutes (You Tube has excellent tutorials on changing screens). It's been a month and no problems so far. The display is a bit brighter than the original, but this is easily adjustable. Very satisfied with the product and also the fast delivery.

This screen fits Dell 5030 perfectly. The cable connector is in the same place as the original screen. While this doesn't fix my problem, the screen appears to be of good quality.

A dead pixel in the middle of the screen - not enough to get it back (you must have 3 dead pixels) but still very annoying. My daughter put her laptop on the sofa where it was covered with a blanket. One of her friends was sitting on the couch and in turn smashed the LCD screen of her laptop. I searched online and found this to be the cheapest with the best reviews. Your Dell 1545 was up and running again in 10 minutes and the screen is just gorgeous. It had a dead pixel in the top right, but you really have to look for it to see it, and good luck finding something cheaper of this quality. Perfect.
