I can't comment on how comfortable this item is, but my daughter sleeps like a log on it. It's a foam mattress, so I'm assuming it's not as comfortable as it could be, but as long as she doesn't complain about back pain in her legs, I'm inclined to say it could be a hit.

My 2 year old daughter stayed up all night in her bed, we had a standard plastic coated crib mattress. I even tried putting a mattress pad on, still to no avail. After buying this mattress and fitting it for a few nights, she now goes to her room and goes to bed most of the time without telling anyone she's going to sleep. It saved my relationship and my sanity!

I was thrilled that it arrived and fully expanded for us to use, but unfortunately the mattress only expanded 3 inches and looks like cheap foam. It compresses very easily and does not hold its shape. I followed the directions and gave it a full 7 days to stretch, after 7 days it was only 3 inches tall so I left it for another week but no change. It's been over a month and the mattress is still only 3 inches thick.

The mattress is soft. Firm but not too hard or soft. My one-and-a-half-year-old child immediately liked lying on it. It expanded quickly, in just 1 hour. What is disappointing is that I bought a slightly more expensive mattress because it claimed to have a removable cover. Something like that does not exist.
