before it is even opened. It is a very dark blue color and would be very pretty if it weren't stretched over a piece of cardboard in a transparent overwrap for many months. When I opened it up, right in the center of the sheet was a durable, lightweight rectangle (approximately 5" x 7") that only stretched around the cardboard insert due to wear. This distressed color rectangle is much lighter and will not fade when washed.

Looks almost white in the picture. But actually this changing table has a perfect pale pink color (see photo). In my opinion, terry cloth is the best material for a changing mat. It's softer than regular cotton but not too plush or fluffy. I personally find it quite rude to swap out a dirty diaper for a material that is too fluffy. It is strange. It is also easy to machine wash and dry. In any case, terry is perfect. This changing cover is perfect for my changing pad. Thick but not too small. I

We bought a classic blanket with blueberry stripes. It's so dark that it looks almost gray-black instead of dark blue. It's cute, but it hurts your eyes if you stare at it for a long time. There is an elastic band on the edge. We have a Munchkin diaper that has these awesome grip zones on the back, but unfortunately the lid is too big and obscures them.
