Worked great: Power cord

I bought this to power a moveable unit in the middle of the garage from my old garage door motor outlet. I had to stretch it for a few days to open it up a bit and after that it kept the same base length and looks great.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Poor design, won't work with most 3 prong power cords

This is a very heavy cord that seems very well made EXCEPT you can't connect a regular 3 prong power cord to it at all. I have to send it back. See photo, on the female end all 3 holes are the same size. This extension cord cannot be connected to a modern electrical device with a plus and minus pole. This is a huge design flaw, especially for such a heavy line.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Not trendy

Length must be doubled

Heavy duty cord with spools for winding. It seems to have good protection and is very durable. Read reviews about stretching and not going back to original wrap length, so I ordered the 8ft version just to add 2 1/2ft of room. Very glad I did. The cable stretches beyond its rebound capacity very easily, leaving a flexible half-twisted cable. Knowing this from the reviews, I ordered about double the length I thought I needed, which worked out really well. However, buyers should plan to doubleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Designed for the healthcare industry
Cons
  • Crumpled

Very, very thick power cord

That's what I wanted. But I wanted the coils to be as thick as lamp cords, telephone cords, etc. This is the thickest coil I've ever seen - it should work in hospitals. I'm returning it but waiting to see if they take it back and if they have a thinner one. What I had in mind was to get a ceramic curling iron that is automatic. switches off after a certain time and wraps this coiled cable around it. The cord on my curling iron is so long that when I set it on the counter and close the mainโ€ฆ
