Bullshit - does not work - do not buy!

Absolute bullshit. The hard drive does not connect for more than a few minutes and then turns off spontaneously. Revain sent me another one and it was even worse, it shut down after a few seconds. There are no questions about the factory cable with a drive. Avoid!

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Quality at a fair price

I was skeptical about buying this cable but decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. Quality seems very good and USB 3.0 was an upgrade from USB 2.0 which I used before. I noticed an increase in file transfer speed compared to 2.0. The delivery of my package was fast and it was exactly what I ordered. I would do business with this company again.

  • Few competitors

Need a USB 3.0 AB Extender? This is your product.

I am a longtime Cable Matters customer as I have had fantastic experiences with their products in the past and have needed a longer USB 3.0 A->B cable to extend my USB 3.0 hub to my computer . I was nervous about signal degradation over long distances with this cable, but it turned out to work just as well with my previously shorter cable, giving me the flexibility I needed to connect a USB hub further away from my computer to install. The quality of the cable is excellent and I can say that

No problems with astronomical cameras ZWO

. I use the ZWO ASI1600 Pro camera to connect to a USB hub, which then connects to a computer via an extension cable. The cable is long enough to allow the camera to be used with a range of different telescopes and mounts, and I haven't had any connection or data speed issues for the past few months. I've used it outdoors many times since receiving it and haven't had any problems.

USB disconnection issue

I have been using these cables since July 2016. I use this cable for 2 and 4 dock USB external docking stations. Both USB cables and docking stations are USB-3. I noticed a long time ago that the three drives in the dock used for my desktop were often reinitialized, but not enough to be uncomfortable. The second docking station was deployed elsewhere and kept daily backups from the PC it was connected to. I went in to check the fuses in the vault and found that the drive wasn't visible even…

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

After the first purchase I bought three more of these cables (of different lengths) because I needed a USB 3.0 cable. To be honest, I was hesitant to purchase a Cable Matters product as the Cable Matters CAT 6 cables I own have turned out to be less than impressive. However, the reviews for this cable, combined with the advertised specs and photos, and Revain's amazing return policy convinced me to give it a try. I was lucky because this cable exceeded all my expectations! The cable jacket is…

Pros
  • USB cable
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Cable Matters packaged the incorrect cables in two separate packages. Cables that both packages contain "Type A-Type A" cables instead of the "Type A-Type B" cables pictured and described on this page. UPC package codes indicate Type A through Type B cables. I doubt a consumer would repackage two cables in the same boxes without breaking the seals and returning to Revain.com, but we all know that possibility still exists. After this error was confirmed, Cable Matters indicated that I could…
