That does not work! Best Cables and Connections

This item did not work at all. I arrived at the presentation site and couldn't connect my computer! It did not work. Very embarrassing.

Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Excellent adapter, the best among computer accessories and peripherals

I love this product! My laptop only has a mini display port, but I often need to connect an HDMI or VGA projector. I use it several times a week and it has been working flawlessly for 6 months. If I could pick one improvement it would be adding an audio output to the device. Although my laptop has a 3.5mm jack, that's not a big deal, but I've seen laptops without a headphone jack and that would be a nice addition. All in all, an absolutely great purchase.

Pros
  • DP V1.2 offers a wide color gamut (supports Full HD 4K x 2K) over a standard DisplayPort connector. Macs released before 2010 CANNOT output audio through Mini DisplayPort. Learn more, then check the Model ID field in the Hardware Overview section. Keep in mind that with the OS X Mavericks update (10.9 and later), Apple disabled 4K output on most earlier Mac models. For a list of 4K compatible Mac systems, go to Google HT202856
Cons
  • Compatibility

That does not work. I returned it.

This connector didn't work for me. I had connection problems from the start. I tried changing the settings on my computer and monitor, using alternative cables but nothing helped so the item was returned to the seller.

Pros
  • Mini Displayport 1.1 Support Compatible with Thunderbolt Connector Black Color Main Body Size: 3.3 x 1.7 x 0.6 inch
Cons
  • Damaged

Older Macbooks (2012) can only add one monitor at a time

I bought this specifically to use 2 external monitors with my Macbook Air 2012, one DVI, one VGA. However, when a DVI connection is made, the VGA monitor goes black. I've been playing around with a bunch of display settings but can't seem to find a way to use my 2 external monitors. I also did not find any live chat/support/help on the website other than a Hong Kong phone number. The product is promised the ability to add multiple external monitors.

Pros
  • Mini DisplayPort V1.2 version, backwards compatible with DP V1.1, offers much faster data transfer rates up to 5.4Gbps per lane to enable new display applications
Cons
  • Long term
