This cable arrived as described, but I had problems immediately after connecting to the LSI SAS9211-8i controller. I started with a drive connected to P1 and the configuration utility immediately gave me errors. The disk was also not recognized. Bought to use with my SAS LTO5 drive and it works like a champ. I used an IBM ServeRAID M1015 flashed to LSI9211-8i-IT mode and a Quantum TC-L52AN-EY-C drive. This cable is enough to run from the fifth PCI-E slot on my board to the drive in the top slot of my case. The build quality could probably be better, but I don't see a problem as this is for a personal computer and not a server that is constantly being rebuilt. The connectors appear to be good and the braided section is solid. However, the individual wires seem quite fragile and I have handled them with great care. The mini-SAS part seems a bit weaker than the other breakouts I've tried, but that's not a big deal. I'm getting more worried about individual thin wires over time. However, I am currently using two with an LSI expansion card with no problems.
