I hesitated to buy because I was afraid that with three children they would get dirty quickly. I threw them in the washing machine and they looked like new. It appears to be heat resistant on plates, but I never eat my plate while it's hot, so I never tested it while the plate was hot on the table.

I have a round table and thought the round tray would not be big enough for my serving utensils and took a chance this oval tray would fit and it worked. They are of high quality. I bought the navy blue to complement my dinnerware set which is mostly white with a few blue floral sprigs. Together they are wonderful. So glad I bought them.

They look nice but food gets caught in the cloth combs. I cleaned them and sprayed them with a kitchen sprayer. I've also run them through the washing machine on delicates. They are difficult to keep clean and are beginning to wear out. (Then as of February 2019.) I'm getting rid of them and looking for something easier to keep clean.
