I have to admit I bought these because they were my favorite color (plum) but I fell in love with their practicality! Depending on the cooking temperature, you can use a heating pad or oven mitts when removing them from the microwave. Then, after you've enjoyed your cooked meal, simply pop the leftovers in the fridge or freezer (after cooling things down a bit, of course). I can come back for another color.

These are great items for cooking and food storage. I've used the largest to cook a rice dish in the microwave for over 20 minutes and it held up great to the heat and long cooking times. The lid fits well and I like the small adjustable steam vent in the lid. I've washed it in the dishwasher and while it probably fits on the bottom shelf, I've only put it on the top shelf so far.
